On Sunday, a man who pulled over to investigate a strange noise coming from his vehicle was struck and hit by a driver who was asleep behind the wheel in San Jose. NBC Bay Area News reports that the collision happened on the northbound side of U.S. Highway 101, just north of Alum Rock Avenue. The driver of a Mazda SUV pulled over on the side of the road, when he heard a strange noise coming from his vehicle.
When he got out of the vehicle to investigate the noise, a Ford Ranger, whose driver was asleep at the wheel, side swiped his car and struck and fatally injured him.
