A sig-alert was issued at around 1:15 am this morning when a big-rig struck a sound wall on west bound 580, according to the CHP.
Approximately 40 gallons of diesel fuel were spilled when the semi struck the sound wall underneath the I- 680 over-crossing causing a rupture in one of the trucks fuel tanks. All lanes of traffic were shut down for about 2 hours.
All lanes were reopened and the roadway cleared by about 3:15 am, according to the CHP.
