A 91-year-old Pleasant Hill woman, Rita Pricco, was killed after her car collided with another vehicle and struck a light pole Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
Pricco was driving a Hyundai Elantra near Taylor Boulevard and Ruth Drive in Pleasant Hill when she collided with a Acura sedan just before 2 p.m., according to Pleasant Hill police. Pricco’s car veered off and hit a light pole at the intersection.
Pricco was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries later that afternoon, police said. A police news release did not mention any injury for the 19-year-old Pleasant Hill woman driving the Acura.
The fatal collision remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed it or has information for police can contact 925-288-4600.
