Lawyers for the San Francisco Giants fan who was brutally beaten outside Dodger Stadium say his medical care is expected to cost more than $50 million. The figure was part of a damage estimate included in papers filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court. The filings come in a lawsuit Stow and his children have brought against Dodgers owner Frank McCourt and 13 others in the baseball team’s organization.

The 42-year-old paramedic and father from Live Oak was attacked outside Dodger Stadium on March 31 after the Opening Day game between the Dodgers and Giants. His head hit the ground and he suffered a severe skull fracture.

He has been hospitalized at San Francisco General since May, after undergoing a lifesaving procedure in which part of his skull was removed to relieve pressure from his swollen brain.

Two men have been charged in the attack, and both plead not guilty last month.

Stow remains in a coma at a San Francisco hospital.
