A woman was struck by a car and dragged to her death during an argument early this morning in Antioch, according to Antioch police.

The victim, whose name was not immediately released, had been arguing with a person in the parking lot of a produce store at 1725 Cavallo Road shortly before 1:50 a.m., said Antioch police Lt. Leonard Orman.

She after the argument she was hit by a four-door Nissan Frontier pickup truck and dragged on the roadway, Orman said. She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The pickup truck was last seen fleeing north on Cavallo. It had a luggage rack on the cab. Police did not have a description of the driver.
